Phase retrieval of images from zeros of even unwrapped signals

چکیده
The 2-D discrete phase retrieval problem is to reconstruct an image defined at integer coordinates and having known finite spatial extent from the magnitude of its discrete Fourier transform. Most methods for solving this problem are iterative but not POCS, and they tend to stagnate. Recently we developed a new approach that unwrapped the 2-D problem into a 1-D problem with bands of zeros in it, using the Good-Thomas FFT. However, this approach reconstructed the even part of the image much better than the odd part, and it was sensitive to the zero locations. This paper presents a modification of this approach. New features include: (1) an overdetermined problem less sensitive to the zero locations; (2) the solution of a Toeplitz-block-Toeplitz-plus-Hankelblock-Hankel linear system; and (3) details on characteristics of images for which the approach works best.

InSAR Phase Unwrapping by Transforming Sparce Data into a Regular Space
Phase unwrapping is one of the most important parts of InSAR techniques. In order to estimate the grand surface displacements, interferomtric phases modulated between 0 to 2π must be unwrapped. Based on the use of either the conventional method or persistent scatterer (PS), phases will be spread both regularly and irregularly. The phases of PSs can be unwrapped by reducing phases into a regular...

This work is concerned with generating the digital elevation models (DEMs) from the SAR images of the region of interest using multiple sensor arrays that are fixed on the distributed satellites. We present an exact estimate of the unwrapped phase and the relationship between the unwrapped phase and the terrain height. The optimum scheme that jointly processes the signals from all sensors is ba...
متن کاملImproved T2* imaging without increase in scan time: SWI processing of 2D gradient echo.
BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE 2D gradient-echo imaging is sensitive to T2* lesions (hemorrhages, mineralization, and vascular lesions), and susceptibility-weighted imaging is even more sensitive, but at the cost of additional scan time (SWI: 5-10 minutes; 2D gradient-echo: 2 minutes). The long acquisition time of SWI may pose challenges in motion-prone patients. We hypothesized that 2D SWI/phase unwra...

This paper presents a method that can recover absolute phase pixel by pixel without embedding markers on three phase-shifted fringe patterns, acquiring additional images, or introducing additional hardware component(s). The proposed three-dimensional (3D) absolute shape measurement technique includes the following major steps: (1) segment the measured object into different regions using rough p...

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to apply recurrence plots on event related potentials (ERPs) recorded during memory recognition tests. EEG signals recorded during memory retrieval in four scalp region were used. Two most important ERP’s components corresponding to memory retrieval, FN400 and LPC, were detected in recurrence plots computed for single-trial EEGs. In addition, the RQA was ...
